Why Go Green?
It's better for your wallet, your
car and the environment
Green Filter© High Performance air filters were developed to enhance engine performance in cars for the European Track and Rally motor sports.
These filters, by allowing the engine to operate more efficiently, provide extra performance or increase fuel economy. Made from cotton, instead paper, we think it’s the most creative use of cotton since Levi Strauss put them into Jeans.
You Save Fuel
By using the highly developed Green Filter©, filtration method
you can expect fuel savings of between 7% and 15%.
With 91 octane at $1.70 per litre an average motorist doing around 20,000 kms per year can expect to pay back the cost of their filter, in around 6 months and in the next 30,000 kms expect savings of between $450 - $900.
The cost of the filter varies, but assume an average cost of around $100 for the filter.
You get Extra Power
By using a Green Filter© you immediately gain extra Horsepower
over a stock filter - this is commonly found to be around 6% or
more. There is no cheaper way to give your vehicle increased performance than by simply opening a green filter box and drop in the filter.
You Save on Money on the cost of replacement air filters.
The Green Filter© comes with a 100,000km guarantee
and you can expect to never replace the air filter again on your
vehicle. Green Filter©s are washable, versus disposable.
You Look after the Environment
You can expect to you less of the planets non renewable resources (petrol / diesel). At the moment you can expect to dump an air filter in the landfill every 20,000 kms. With Green Filter your filter has a 100,000 kms guarantee, and is reusable. You can expect this filter to last the life of the car.

Testimonials
Kiwis who have experienced the Green
Filter© benefits
Mike Henderson. Auckland
“I put the Green Filter© on my Jeep Cherokee, and I noticed
straight away, Wow, more power. Because I hadn’t been monitoring
my economy I cannot tell you exactly, but it feels like I would
save at least an extra litre per 100 kilometres. I know that I
consistently have more power that I enjoy and use.”
Kerryn Dunham. Tauranga
“We’ve fitted the Green Filter© to our 2004 Holden
Commodore V6 XXX.
Immediately we noticed more power, but what amazed me that my
economy on my trip to work improved hugely. Fuel consumption went
from 14.4 Litres to 12.2 litres per 100 kms. Amazing”
Hugh Stevens. Auckland
“I’ve installed a Green Filter© in my Land Rover V8.
Definitely more horsepower that I grab hold of. Fuel consumption
is about the same, so, Yes, that means more fuel economy too.”
Peter Legg. Auckland
“Our observation is that if you put in the Green Filter©
and put your foot down you get more power. If you can ease your
foot back a bit, and drive normally you certainly get fuel savings
at the pump”

How and Why Does
the Green Filter© Work?
Making the most of a natural product - cotton
Green Filter©s are made from cotton, and are described as being
the best use cotton since the invention of Jeans by Levi Strauss.
A standard paper filter tends to absorb moisture and dirt rather
than hold onto it. With our high humidity in New Zealand there
tends to be a paper machet effect produced.
A Green Filter© is made from cotton, which has perfect features
for air filtration. It is organic, and dries quickly after becoming
damp. This allows the filter to breath easily.
The 2 layers of woven cotton in the filter are pleated, allowing
a 10% -20% increase in surface area for the draw down of air into
the engine. The more surface area you have, the more air you can
pass through the filter and into your engine to create more power.
This pleating also gives the filter element extra strength and
rigidity.
There are 3 main benefits to using woven cotton.
The layers of cotton are held in place by a strong fine mesh
that trap and hold dirt and moisture particles to a size of .050
microns. These dirty particles can easily be seen against the
bright Green Filter©, indicating that it is time to clean the filter.
Green High Performance Air Filters are a lifetime filter, designed
to be oiled. The oil creates a positive [+] magnetic charge with
the mesh, which attracts the negatively charged [-] dust particles.
The dust and dirt builds around the mesh to form a tunnel. This
allows the cotton to remain cleaner for maximum flow.
Green High Performance Air Filters are designed with advanced,
leading edge rubber moulding technology. The rubber fanges are
precisely machined to offer snug, airtight seals, that absorb
vibration and are not affected by the harsh conditions of the
engine bay.
Most other cotton air filters are manufactured by a pressure
moulding injection method. This consumes filter surface area,
and leads to a reduction in surface area of up to 25%. Green Filter©
uses a Four Step manufacturing process that is more expensive
and time consuming, but produces a filter with substantially improved
airflow.

Credentials
Some impressive users
Green Filter© was developed in Europe in 1995
to design, manufacture and supply premium high performance cotton
air filters to the racing and motor sport industry. They have
now become Europe’s largest performance air filter manufacturer.
After designing filters for these sectors they
have since used the exact, same technology for use on our cars,
but only after thousands of tests and numerous success on race
tracks around the world.
Green Filter© have won awards for nearly every
type of competition, here are just a few:-
Since 2000 the prestigious EAQF manufacturing
Standard was awarded to Green Cotton Air Filter for their consistently
high quality manufacturing standard.
Green Filter© is now installed in New Zealand
by our leading Race and Rally Car preparers.
